In 1795, Jamaica Pond became Bostonís first surface water supply. Wooden pipes built from tree trunks were used to transport water from the pond to Bostonís settled areas.

Conservation Kits

Kits are free and contain kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators, a low-flow replacement showerhead, a water efficiency gauge to test showerheads and sinks and dye tablets to check for toilet leaks.
