On occasion, BWSC has received reports of persons claiming to be BWSC employees vandalizing or stealing from customer’s homes. To protect yourself, your family and your home, please remember these important safety points:

Don't let anyone in your home without 
official BWSC identification.

BWSC employees will be happy to provide you with an official photo ID card - ALWAYS ASK.

BWSC employees do not show up unannounced.
The only time employees will come to your home is by appointment, or if you call and ask them to come fix a problem. They will only show up unannounced if a water emergency occurs.

BWSC employees on the road never ask for payment, transfers, or other refunds.
Payments are only accepted by mail, at our Neighborhood Site Visits, or through the BWSC main office. If you are ever unsure about letting BWSC employees into your home, call the main number at (617) 989-7000 for verification.  Ask for the Community Relations Department.
