DO NOT FLUSH WIPES - With reports of toilet paper shortages amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission reminds customers that wipes, paper towels, facial tissue, and other materials – even those that claim to be “flushable” – are not designed to break down in the wastewater treatment process.
Effective immediately and until further notice, due to emerging developments and public health concerns regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus, access to all Boston Water and Sewer Commission facilities will be limited to BWSC personnel only. The BWSC is committed to doing its part to protect the health and safety of the public and its workforce by reducing the risk of exposure to the virus and slowing its spread.
BWSC staff remain available to respond to emergency situations. Please continue to report service emergencies to (617) 989-7000. The Commission appreciates your cooperation and understanding during this challenging time. Account or billing related services and information can be obtained by calling the Customer Service Department at (617) 989-7800 or via the Commission’s website at bwsc.org.
