Boston Water and Sewer Commission will commence Water Main Flushing in the East Boston area starting: April 12th, 2026, through April 28th, 2026 The boundaries for the areas being flushed are Condor/Nay Street to the north, Boston Harbor/Piers Park to the south, Mass Pike/Route 1A to the east and Boston Harbor to the west.
The purpose of the Water Main Flushing Program is to improve drinking water quality for residents and businesses.
Water Main flushing will take place between the hours of 10:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. The flushing process may cause discolored water and a reduction in pressure. The discoloration of the water will be temporary and is not harmful.
