BWSC strives to provide our residential customers with the highest quality water and sewer service. We want our customers to understand the value of these systems and how well-maintained systems protect the environment.
Buying or Selling Property
When purchasing property, water and sewer charges must be finalized with the seller to ensure that unnecessary charges are not passed onto the buyer.
Change of Address/Billing Name
If you have moved or need to change the name on your bill, a Change of Mailing Address form should be completed.
The form is available to fill out online, download and print, or picked up at BWSC’s offices. This form applies to condominium associations, apartment buildings, etc., which have authorized property agents to receive and pay the BWSC bills.
The completed form can be mailed to:
Boston Water and Sewer Commission
Attn: Customer Service
980 Harrison Avenue
Boston, MA 02119
or fax to 617-989-7710 Attn: Customer Service
The water meter attached to your property belongs to BWSC. The pipes and valves on either side of the meter belong to the property owner. Meters are read daily by BWSC’s Automated Meter Reading (AMR) system.
Service Termination and Restoration
In the event your service is terminated, the property owner must contact BWSC's Customer Service at 617-989-7800. For more information visit the Service Termination and Restoration page.
