BWSC's water truck parked at Quincy Market

Please note: Due to Coronavirus COVID–19 BWSC has suspended water truck related activities until further notice.

Water distribution is BWSC’s main responsibility to the residents of Boston. The Water Truck is an interactive way for residents and visitors to enjoy Boston’s award-winning tap water. The truck features six taps, four water bubblers, and two doggy bowls and can hold 725 gallons of water. The insulated truck keeps water cool and can be refilled at any drinkable water station.

The motto for the Water Truck is "Fill. Drink. Repeat." BWSC's goal is to motivate people to drink and enjoy Boston’s water while reducing single-use plastics by filling reusable bottles. In partnership with other agencies, the truck attends events to educate the public on how to make Boston a cleaner, healthier environment. These events range from food festivals, concerts on City Hall Plaza, to the 4th of July celebration on the Esplanade.
