If you are required to perform water, sewer, storm drain or fire pipe connection repair or reactivation to the BWSC system, you will need to complete a General Service Application (GSA) before any work can proceed.

GSA Form

In addition to the GSA, and depending on the complexity of the repairs, BWSC may require plans and other necessary supporting documents. All work must be performed by a licensed and bonded contractor. A list is available online and at our office.

In most cases, you will be required to obtain a Street Opening Permit from the City of Boston’s Public Works Department and submit a Traffic Management Plan to the City of  Boston's Transportation Department. Both of these departments are located at Boston City Hall.

BWSC has programs that may assist property owners with active accounts and meet specific requirements.
