BWSC’S VIDALIS ASSUMES LEADERSHIP ROLE AT NEW ENGLAND WATER WORKS ASSOCIATION

Demetrios G. Vidalis, PE, assumed the role of Director-at-Large on the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) Board of Directors during NEWWA’s recent annual conference.

A fifteen year veteran of BWSC, Demetrios currently serves as Superintendent of Asset Management and CMOM Director. He’s responsible for overseeing the inspection, operation, and maintenance of Commission water and sewer assets, as well as the implementation of its Capacity, Management, Operation, and Maintenance (CMOM) program.

The New England Water Works Association is a nonprofit, independent, member-driven organization dedicated to serving the region’s water works professionals and the public interest. It is the oldest and most active regional water works association in the United States.

Demetrios has been a NEWWA member since 2009 and serves on a number of its committees. He’s also a member of the AWWA Hydrant Hysteria Committee, which organizes and runs the national competition.
