Information About PFAS and Your Drinking Water

There have been news accounts recently about a United States Geological Survey (USGS) study on "forever chemicals" - also known as PFAS - in US drinking water supplies. Boston receives its water from MWRA, which in response to an EPA report on PFAS in March 2023 reported the following: MWRA has tested for all six of the compounds included in the proposed EPA rule, as required by current state regulations. Our results are either not-detectable or at trace levels so low they can’t be quantified. For more information, click on the following link:
