East Boston
This project is the fourth phase of a multi year sewer separation project in East Boston. These projects are being undertaken to separate the combined sewer system by installing new sewer and drain pipes. This will improve water quality by reducing the number and volume of combined sewer overflows.
Construction on these projects will take place under separate contracts broken into various project areas. Construction is expected to continue through 2030. Work on the first contract of Phase IV is expected to begin in late July or early August.
Please see the linked Project Documents to view the status of the current project as well as the overview map of Phase IV.
